Wisconsin Driftless Area

The Driftless area of Wisconsin is an area of the state that the last great glacier missed leaving some very hilly nearly mountainous terrain.
The roads are great in this area of the state with little traffic. Most of the town roads can have 800 feet to 1000 feet of climbing every 10 or so miles.
My pal Jerry and I did about 60 miles the last week of November on a very chilly windy day but it was worth the drive up to Tower Hill State Park. A few days later we got a foot of snow in Wisconsin and at least for me my cycling season was over and the Cross Country Season began!
The country is very rural with few services.
